A Race for Home!

When our heroes come across a Skiddo ranch known for its delicious cheese and ice cream, they discover that Serena’s mom, Grace, is there as a Rhyhorn racing coach. Everyone wants to ride a Skiddo, except Clemont.

Grace asks Serena if she’s keeping up her Rhyhorn race training, not knowing her daughter’s dream is to become a Pokémon performer. Meanwhile, Team Rocket shows up to swipe all the goodies! Serena recruits one of the ranch’s racing Rhyhorn to speed after them, and thanks to her exceptional riding and battle skills, the villains are defeated.

When Grace insists that her daughter come home to continue her training as a Rhyhorn racer, Serena finally musters up the courage to tell her mom about her dream. Grace doesn’t seem to take her seriously, so Serena challenges her to a Skiddo race, vowing that if she loses, she will return home. But Serena’s determination shines, and she wins the race—and her mother’s approval!

A Stealthy Challenge!

Ash and friends spot their ninja friend Sanpei and his Greninja floating down a river, unconscious! After they mount a rescue, Sanpei explains that he’s on a mission for his ninja master, Saizo, but a masked ninja and his Barbaracle partner keep trying to interfere.

The gang decides to help Sanpei on his mission, but soon Ash and Sanpei are separated from the others—just as the masked ninja strikes again! Froakie and Greninja team up to fight him off, and when the battle seems to be going against them, Froakie evolves into Frogadier!

The masked ninja then directs Ash and Sanpei to the manor where their friends are waiting. There, they discover their pursuer is none other than Saizo, who has been using their encounters as a test of Sanpei’s skills—and Sanpei has passed with flying colors! With everyone safely reunited, Ash challenges Sanpei to a battle, and soon our heroes are off once again to Coumarine City.

An Undersea Place to Call Home!

Our heroes take an excursion to the Muraille Coast before Ash’s Cyllage City Gym battle. They spend some time fishing until Ash pulls up a Skrelp, which attacks Pikachu with its poison! Fortunately, they meet a couple along the beach road who heal Pikachu with a handy Antidote. Eddy and Lindsey are underwater archeologists in search of the Cussler, a luxury liner that sank many years ago. Our heroes decide to help them with their quest!

While Clemont and Bonnie stay above with Eddy, Ash and Serena join Lindsey in her submarine, and they dive toward the ocean floor. Sure enough, the wreck of the Cussler is there, and thanks to some crafty Dragalge who have fused it together with Acid, it’s become a home for many different kinds of Water-type Pokémon!

A mysterious light lures them deeper into the wreckage, where they spot Team Rocket’s submarine. The villains have come to claim the Cussler’s sunken treasure, and their meddling has endangered the structure of the ship. With a little help from our heroes, the wild Pokémon manage to fix up their underwater refuge. But at the same time, Team Rocket escapes with the Cussler’s safe—only to get caught in a whirlpool! Skrelp is caught too, but Froakie comes to the rescue, showing off its spectacular jumping skills…and giving Ash some ideas he would put to use in his upcoming Gym battle against Grant!

When Light and Dark Collide!

When Ash and Pikachu attempt to rescue a Snubbull from asinister Hawlucha, they accidentally injure the Gallade who’s swooping in to protect Snubbull. That’s when they discover that they’ve interrupted a rehearsal of a Super Pokémon Battle show! The director, Carl, explains that the show combines a Pokémon battle with a scripted storyline—but since one of his stars is injured, he’ll have to call off tomorrow’s performance.

Bonnie has a better idea: she suggests that Ash’s Hawlucha step in to fill the role of the shining hero! Hawlucha has some trouble with the idea of a staged battle, but the show must go on. When the curtain goes up, Team Rocket tries to steal the show, but Hawlucha and Dark Hawlucha team up to blast them off. Then the two Pokémon clash with each other in an intense battle over “Lady Snubbull,” and the Super Pokémon Battle show is a huge success!

Pathways to Performance Partnering!

As our heroes head to Coumarine City, a lunchtime squabble between Clemont’s Chespin and Serena’s Pancham gets out of hand when they bump into a Smoochum and Farfetch’d. Their Trainer, Nini, is planning to enter her first Pokémon Showcase, just like Serena. The two girls decide to show each other their performances and get feedback from Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie as well, but they have an unexpected audience...

Team Rocket is lurking nearby, and Jessie decides she just has to have Nini’s Smoochum as her Pokémon Showcase partner. She disguises herself as a choreographer and coaxes all the dancing Pokémon into a small performance space...and then Team Rocket’s balloon takes off with them! Chespin and Pancham finally decide to work together and discover they’re a pretty good team, sending the villains blasting off again. Nini and Serena say their goodbyes and promise to meet in the Pokémon Showcase as rivals!
